Hua Mei, first panda born at the San Diego Zoo, USA. She now resides in China at the Bifengxia Panda Base. Since leaving San Diego in 2004 she has given birth to three sets of twins. Hua Mei was one of the giant pandas relocated from the Wolong Panda Reserve after the earthquake of 12 May 2008.
